An accounting website as clear as the advice behind it
UniSol Accounting was on WordPress and Elementor. We rebuilt it custom, moved the domain across without losing a single search result, and left them able to edit every word themselves.

The client
UniSol Accounting Services is a Nanaimo accounting firm led by Rimpy Mahal, working with businesses and individuals across Vancouver Island on bookkeeping, corporate tax, personal income tax and financial consulting.
What they needed
The old site was a WordPress and Elementor build: slower than it needed to be, awkward to change, and reading more like a brochure than like the person clients actually meet. They wanted something faster, clearer and genuinely theirs, without losing the search rankings the old site had earned.
What we built
We rebuilt the whole site, then moved the domain onto it in a single afternoon with nothing lost on the way across.
Every word editable, by them
Sign in and click any text on the live page to change it. No dashboard to learn, no page builder, no ticket to us. Sign-in is a code emailed to them, so there is no shared password to keep track of.
Four service pages that carry their own weight
Bookkeeping, corporate tax, personal income tax and financial consulting each got a real page, restructured from the old text-heavy versions into checklists, steps and outcomes. We kept the original URLs so a decade of links and rankings pointed at the new pages on day one.
A GST calculator that gets the cents right
We ported the calculator from their old site and found its maths quietly wrong: it rounded to whole numbers and dropped the cents on every result. Same tool, ten countries of real rates, correct answers now.
A move with no broken links
Cutting a live domain over is where sites usually lose their search rankings. We inventoried every old URL first and redirected the ones that no longer existed, so the old blog posts and pages all still land somewhere real.

Design notes
Accounting sells calm. Deep teal and paper, a serif that behaves like a person rather than a bank, and drone footage of Nanaimo instead of the stock handshake every accounting site reaches for. The hero is their actual town.
The result
17 MB → 1.7 MB
hero video, recompressed so phones are not punished for it
116/116
responsive checks passing across browsers and screen sizes
100%
of page copy editable by the firm, in place
A firm that owns its website, edits it without calling anyone, and kept every bit of search equity it had built up. The old site was something they paid for. This one works for them.
