A junk removal site moved off Wix without losing a search result
Junk Matters had years of Google rankings sitting on a Wix site with 174 addresses. We rebuilt the whole thing custom and moved the domain across with every one of those addresses accounted for.

The client
Junk Matters runs junk removal, donation and recycling out of Nanaimo across central Vancouver Island. They have built a 5.0 rating on more than 130 Google reviews doing it, and the site had to earn the same trust before anyone picks up the phone.
What they needed
The old site was on Wix, and it ranked. That is the hard part of a job like this: 174 addresses had years of search history behind them, and a careless move wipes that out overnight. They also wanted out of the template, pages for each town they serve, pricing that reads the way they actually charge, and the ability to change any of it themselves without waiting on a developer.
What we built
We rebuilt the site from scratch, mapped the old one address by address, and only then moved the domain.
The migration, checked before it happened
We inventoried every address on the old site, decided one at a time whether it stayed or pointed somewhere new, and had the map signed off before anything moved. Then we crawled the old site and the new one side by side and proved it: 178 out of 178 correct, 151 redirects returning a literal 301 rather than the 308 most frameworks emit by default, and 27 ranking pages kept exactly where they were.
Services and towns, structured to be found
An A to Z index of everything they take, feeding into real service pages for the big jobs: appliances, mattresses, hot tubs, estate and hoarding cleanouts, construction debris. Each town they serve has its own page, with the honest version of what is covered there rather than a promise nobody could keep in Port Alberni.
An estimate that matches how they really price
A junk quote is not a menu price. The final charge comes from what actually ends up in the trailer, so the calculator gives an estimate and says so plainly, with the surcharges that can sit on top named up front. It took a couple of passes to get the wording right, because the easy version of this page promises things a junk hauler cannot promise.
Every word on the site, editable by them
They sign in with a code emailed to them, click any text on the live page and retype it. Around twelve hundred pieces of copy across the whole site, plus their own before and after photo gallery and a scheduled blog post editor, so a post written today can publish itself next Tuesday morning. Nothing on the site needs us to change it.
A site assistant that only knows their site
Visitors can ask a question in plain English and get an answer drawn from their own pages, never invented. It refuses to quote a price the site does not publish, and it keeps a log of what people asked, including the questions it could not answer, which is a list of the pages the site still needs.

Design notes
Junk removal sites mostly look like clip art. This one is built on their actual jobs: real trailers, real driveways, real before and afters, with the type doing the heavy lifting. The line we designed the whole thing around is their own, You Matter, We Matter, Junk Matters, and the landfill being the last stop rather than the first.
The result
178 / 178
addresses verified in a side by side crawl before the domain moved
151 / 151
redirects returning a literal 301 to the right page
750 / 750
responsive checks passing across browsers and screen sizes
The site went live on their own domain in one afternoon with nothing broken behind it, and the search history they spent years building came with it. They run the site now, and we are still the ones who make it faster.
